Have you ever thought of clown fishes before? Do you know anything about them and what they do? Well today is your lucky day because you're about to find out. Clown fishes are very unique and a special relationship with sea anemones. Co - author Nanette Chadwick says, " clown fish can actually help sea anemones to breathe and can help them to aerate themselves." Clown fish do a wiggle dance to increase seawater circulation for their hosts, that help them to breathe. Clown fish do this wiggle dance to give oxygen to the sea anemone, and in return it shelters the clown fish. Clown fish are very slow swimmers so they get eaten fast, to protect itself it will rub itself all over the sea anemone so it will be covered in its mucus. You see sea anemones release toxins to deter predators away, the sea anemones see the the clown fish as part of itself thats why it shelters the clown fish.
I chose this article because i never knew a lot about clown fishes, so i wanted to know more about these fascinating creatures. The most interesting thing about clown fishes is that it does a wiggle dance that supplies the sea anemones with oxygen. This relates to the movie "Finding Nemo" because in the movie the main character is a adult clown fish that lost its baby clown fish. If sea anemones dont die out and extinct then, i think the clown fishes will also not be extinct because thats where the clown fishes live and strive off of.
